Take the blue litmus paper and dip it in one of the test tubes, if it turns red then the solution in that test tube is acidic solution. now take out the litmus paper and tear it into half and add those two pieces into the other two test tubes left. in one it will turn blue, and in another it will remain the same. so the solution which turned the paper blue will be a basic solution and the solution which showed no change will be neutral solution/distilled water.
