you are given three test tubes. the three test tubes contains distilled water,acidic solution and the basic solution respectively. there is only red litmus paper available in order to identify. what is there in each test tubes. how will you find out .what is in each of the test tubes

first , the red litmus wont changes in 2 test tubes . let them 1 & 2

in the 3rd , you can observe that red litmus turns blue.

it is basic & let it 3 .

now you can obtain blue litmus from test tube 3 .

by using that blue litmus, dip it in test tubes 1 and 2 .

now, which test tube won't change the colour of litmus is water

& test tube changes blue litmus to red litmus is Acid .
