Simple,
First you take one bar and tie it to a thread , then suspend it to the air , if it rotates and stand in North and South position it is magnet.
Do the same thing to another bar we can get the magnet.

❥Tie both the bars with a thread and suspende them freely in the air. Now rotate both the bars.
The bar magnet will rest in North-South direction but a iron bar will rest in any direction.
Why a magnetic bar always rest in North-South direction??
