You are given two identical simple pendula. Both the pendulum measures the time period for 20 oscillations at equator and at pole of the earth. Will there be any changes in the time period of the pendulum? If so, why?

Explanation:

As value of acceleration due to gravity increase as we go from equator to pole. Since, T is inversely proportional to g, hence when the simple pendulum is taken from equator to poles, hence time period of the pendulum will decrease.
