You are given two liquid, one a solution and the other a compound . How will you distinguish the solution from the compound?

Answer:

by heating a small quantity of the given samples we can find the difference between them.The one which leaves some residue behind is the solution and the other  which evaporates uniformly without any residue is the compound.

In solution the components are well immersed I.e single phase. You cannot distinguish one component from the other .

In compound the components are not well immersed I.e two or more phases.You can distinguish one component from the other
