You are going on a field trip in a school bus. A special detector placed on one of the bus's tires counts the number of rotations completed by the tire during the journey. The tire's diameter is 1 meter, and it made 8000 rotations during the trip. How far did the bus travel?

Answer:

25133  metres.

Step-by-step explanation:

Distance = Circumference x Number of Rotations

d = 1π x 8000

d ≈ 3.14159265359 x 8000

d ≈ 25132.7412287

Now we need to round it.

d ≈ 25133 metres.

Trust me, this is for Khan Academy. :) The correct answer is supposed to be 25120 but I typed 25133 and it said it was correct. But it's your choice which one you want to type in!

Hope this helps!
