I venture to bring to your kind attention to the evil of disturbance caused because of the misuse of loudspeakers.
Loudspeakers have a great utility. They are one the handiest tools. But we begin to face the problems as soon as the loudspeakers are used by people for personal purposes, without limits. They hardly care for the dislikes of others.
Loudspeakers are now used at the highest pitch all the time without thinking whether its day or night. Even the shopkeepers who don't have its requirement misuse them in order to attract customers. Also, on the occasions such as marriage, all the people in joyous abandon keep ringing it almost the whole night. Lavish night parties make unlimited use of speakers and stereos to shock any particular area. Another action is the spate of Bhagwati Jagarans. In these jagarans, individuals utilize massive loudspeakers and force the society to keep awake the whole night. There is hardly anyone who cares if there might be students preparing for examinations or patients requiring undisturbed peaceful rest or people, after day-long hard toil, longing to sleep.
The public must also be made aware of the fact that the utilization of loudspeakers beyond 11 pm is unlawful. We hope you will like to look into the issues regarding this menace immediately and take some stern measures to crush this evil practice. Above all, it is the right of each individual to enjoy a noiseless night for a peaceful sleep.
