The annual sports function of our school was held on the last Friday in our school ground. On that day, the atmosphere of the school took a festive look. A great interest was observed among the students and the guardians. All of them came in a large number to enjoy the sports program. Honorable city Mayor was the chief guest and the Chairman of AEES Education Cbse Board was the special guest. The guests arrived at 9.30 am. Before the events began, the names of the competitors were called out. The students were lined up. There were several sports events such as high jump, long jump, pole vault, 100 meter race. I got two prizes in long jump and 100 meter race. The guests were highly pleased at our performance. They encouraged us to take part in sports and games. Then the Headmaster announced the name of the prize winners. The winners were awarded prizes by the chief guest. They became very happy for getting the prizes. After the sports, the Headmaster inspired the students in his short speech. The sports program ended at 4.00p.m. The Headmaster declared one day holiday on the following day with thanks to all. Then annual sport day program was released in magazines all over India Aees school were seen this and told that our school is best among them and got national sport day award.

Annual Sports Held in Sumia Junior High School

Harshita, Delhi, 21st February: Annual sports were held in Sumie Junior High School yesterday. The school authority arranged such an enthusiastic event as a part of co-curricular activities. The annual sports were held on the college ground in a befitting manner. The scheme campus was decorated with colourful flags and festoons. A beautiful gate was erected at the entrance of the compound.

Sitting arrangements for the guests and spectators were made under a large canopy. The sports started at 8.00 am when the principal hoisted the national flag with the band of national anthem. There were 25 events in which students took part according to their own choice. Spectators enjoyed the excellent performance of the students in the events.

At the end of the programme, the winners were awarded different attractive prizes. The local MP, who was the chief guest of the function, distributed the prizes among the winners. The principal of the college thanked all for their participation in the annual sports ceremony and declared the end of the ceremony at 5 pm. All students, teachers, guardians, and invited guests enjoyed the sports-meet.
