A festival that showcased the great Shakespeare's plays was held in our school, Heritage School, New Delhi. There was a 2-day event to showcase the plays. The actors were a visiting drama group from the United Kingdom. The plays were entertaining and sad and were executed very well. Not only was the plays the highlight but several stalls sold goods related to these plays. The biggest hit was the charity station, where they had a bake sale with a topping of a fondant Shakespeare. They were prepared by the Bake Club, an after school club where students can bake. The cupcakes were priced reasonably for Rs.60 for 2 cupcakes. We raised almost Rs.10,000 for a charity for orphaned children. The actors too pooled some money together to contribute a generous amount of Rs.1000 to this cause. We thank all the parents and children who contributed and made an orphans life happier.
