Good morning to all. We know that education must be holistic and not one-dimensional.

Focusing just on academics does not educate an individual. It merely prepares him to understand books and facts.

In order to succeed in life, one needs more than just academics - one needs to learn the importance of humane values.

One needs to learn respect, trust, humanity and faith, for these are essential values that bind us all together and stay with us till death beds.

Good values build up an individual’s character and a well-mannered person, be literate or not, is always respected and remembered.

Schools are the best place to socialise and learn such values.

It is a mini society with so many people with varied ideas and values which when pooled together help us identify and develop our personalities.

Thus, value education is highly important in schools.

Thank you.
