Dear Diary,
The Annual Concert Day at college today turned out to be one of the best days of my life! I am still euphoric about how much the audience actually enjoyed my rendition of Phil Collins's song "One More Night"! I had been working on the chords for the past three months, and I am so glad that it was successful! Let me write about today in the chronological manner; the concert began with the inaugural ceremony by the Dean, followed by an inspiring speech by our Principal. Next, the freshers from the Science departments presented a fusion dance performance. The second year Commerce students performed a thrilling Musical event, where one group of classical singers competed against a group of western singers. The Drama Club, led by the Arts students, performed a Charandas Chor, a satire by Habib Tanvir. After two more solo dance performances from our seniors, my turn came up. At first, I was very anxious about this performance, because this was my first time onstage as a guitarist and singer. In fact, I stammered while introducing myself on stage, and that was embarrassing. However, as I got the microphone, I told myself, "This is it." I added an Eastern twist to this famous blues song, and within seconds I saw the audience swaying at every beat and singing out loud with me. As I ended my song, I was welcomed by a shower of claps and whistles. While I got off the stage, my professors and friends shook hands with me, gave a pat on my back and appreciated my performance. I could not have asked for more. I only wish that music keeps on supporting me emotionally, for it has been my only respite after grandpa passed away. I promise myself, that I will hold on to music just like I could not let go of my memories with grandpa.

Dear Diary:
I am very happy tonight. I received so much of praise from my teachers and students. A party had been organized at the college. My teachers asked me to sing on the occasion. The songs I sang were liked by all. Everyone praised me profusely. One of my teachers even suggested me to go for auditions for a reality singing show. I felt so good. I feel I should really follow the advice and go for auditions. After all, singing is a lucrative career. That’s all dear diary. Good night.
