Sir,
Lockdown has been lifted by our government in spite of increasing cases of COVID-19. The step has been taken in view of the downfall of the economy.
This fact states that safety, taking precautionary measures, following guidelines is highly required at present.
But busy roads tell a different tale. People roam on the roads unnecessarily, as if the planet was never infected by any deadly virus.
People come out of their safe zones, without masks, gloves. Even they hug each other. Social distancing is nowhere to be seen.
The negative effects of this type of carelessness will cost a large number of human lives. People need to understand that every life is important. It is important to understand that future of our country holds in our hands, and we will be held responsible for any harm to our country.
Through your newspaper, I wish to address people to think before stepping out.
Thank you,
Yours truly,
Mehak.
