Subject: Felling of trees in our locality

Dear Sir:

I am writing to your esteemed self to express my deep concern over the problem of felling trees of in our locality. I am deeply anguished and concerned at this recklessness. There are already just a few trees left in residential colonies. How should we make the people and the Government to understand that trees are the oxygen generators for us!? We can’t survive without them.

Trees can’t be allowed to be felled in the name of new constructions! Through the medium of your esteemed daily I appeal to people and the Government to preserve the few trees that are left among human colonies. It must be done at any cost. Kindly publish my letter in your reputed daily.

Yours truly,

Sunita Kumari

To,

The Editor,

The Assam Tribune, Guwahati.

Respected Sir,

I am Meena Konwar, a resident of Guwahati. I am writing to you on behalf of my locality whether there is extreme scarcity of water.

We had spoken about our ordeal to the honorable chairman of Municipality but our requests have fallen in deaf ears.

We are facing the trouble relating to water for months together and hence seeking your intervention in the matter so that you can share our story with your readers. I am waiting for you to redress our grievance.

Thanking you in anticipation.

Yours faithfully,

Anita Mittal.
