Respected Sir,

Subject : Need to combat the increasing stress faced by

students.

I wish

to bring to your notice the fact that students are facing a lot of stress nowadays.

A look at their huge school bags itself gives us an idea of their burden. At

their age learning should be a joy and not a burden. Their inquisitive minds

should be enriched by education.

Education

should help them to express their latent talents. But nowadays the curriculum

is such that bookish knowledge is given more importance. Students are burdened

with homework and do not get any time to develop other skills. Sports are

neglected. Even during holidays they are expected to do a large amount of holiday

homework.

Examinations

are considered to be very important. The huge syllabus to be learnt for the

examinations is a nightmare for students.

The

system of education should be reformed and equal importance should be given to

classwork and homework. Examinations should not be the only criteria of

assessment. Practical work and other activities should be given due importance.

There should be a Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation of their performance.

I will

be very grateful, if you could promote awareness about these problems and work

for the implementation of suitable measures to get rid of them.

The biggest fear in today's world for students is exam.Although exams are very essential to know the level of learning but on other hand problems that are not good for students and the biggest problem is Stress.Some students committed suicide just because of stress or fear of examination.For some students It becomes nightmare.Sometimes teachers complete syllabus in hurry without explaining the concept and gives projects, assignment for homework.The system of education should be reformed and equal importance should be given to classwork and homework.I will be very grateful if uou could promote awareness about these problems.
