We always say cousin than saying brother/sister along with it.

It is either, he is my cousin. Or she is my cousin. No brother or sister following the word cousin. Hope this helps.

when we use the words brother sister or cousin we do interrelate with them.The term cousin "brother" is wrong,hence it should be cousin.
