Dear Father

 How are you and mother doing? I am doing quite good. I hope all is well at home. I hope your health is keeping well despite the harsh weather in Mumbai.

 My school has announced the annual school trip for this year. They have announced that they will be taking the students to Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu. I have heard that it is a beautiful tourist attraction spot and has a great significance, being the south-most point of India. I would love to see the wonders of the place, along with my friends. I request you to allow me to go on the 5 day trip to Kanyakumari. The trip will commence on the 6th of February and conclude by the 11th of February, after which, we will return back to our campus. The school has sent a permission slip home through the mail. It is to be signed and sent along with Rupees 5,000 as a fee for the trip, by the 25th of January.

 I hope you will be able to allow me on this trip and hope to hear a response from you by the earliest.
