Reading is no longer a popular pastime among our generation's youth. We are more interested in our phones, computers, and other electronic devices than in reading.
The histogram depicts how the habit of reading has declined year after year. The number of books reads per 100 pupils in 2006 was between 40 and 50. In 2007, it was 40, in 2008 it was between 30 and 40, in 2009 it was 30 and in 2010 it was between 10 and 20. In comparison to 2006, the graph plainly demonstrates how horrible the situation is in 2010.
The graph also demonstrates that, when compared to boys, girls are more likely to read.
