you are now fully informed about the dreams and upheavals of the Filipinos during the Spanish colonial era. To show your affection and appreciation to the early Filipinos, write them an open letter expressing yourself on how you feel upon knowing their situation way back then.

Answer:

My Dear Colonial Filipinos,

All the people are the ‘Pride of the Philippines’. I happen to read the history of colonization in Philippines. The first thing I would like to do is to bow down sincerely and respect the relentless sacrifice you all made during that time. I express my solidarity with you all who were just almost crushed under the Spanish colonels. The freedom was lost and basic human rights denied, yet you all survived with grit and strength. Literature was influenced. Culture and religions were transformed. Our ancient language Tagalog was destroyed. The economy lost with government funds misused with dysfunctional government and corruption. You had nothing, all your dreams shattered but still stood strong. Then rose the Filipino nationalism, the upheaval of the patriots, and the national propagandas and the Philippine Revolution, all of which led to the independence. I sincerely bow before the colonial Filipinos, for everything that they gave then for our free nation now.

Thanking you sincerely from the bottom of the hearts .
