Sub: Promoting National Integration.
Sir:
I am writing to your esteemed self to express my concern over the issue of
national integration in our country. Ours is a country inhabited by people
belonging to different religions, ethnicities, faiths, and creeds. Maintaining
communal peace, camaraderie, etc. become quite challenging and formidable.
The Indian Government along with the people, must formulate a nationalistic policy aimed at promoting national integration and harmony, and implement this policy strictly. Education policy, foreign policy, and all the other policies must aim at promoting national interest. Nation must be supreme; all the rest must be subservient to it.
Any person
or element that harms or undermines national integration must be strictly dealt
with. Schools can play a great role. The children must be repeatedly told how
our freedom fighters belonging to different faiths, religions, ethnicities,
creeds, etc fought together and won freedom for our country. There should be frequent
exchange programmes of the school and college students belonging to
different states and union territories. This will lead to enhanced mutual understanding
among the people of the country. Media can play a very crucial role in this
regard. People must join in this national integration campaign. I appeal to the
concerned authorities to look into the issue. I am sure you will give suitable
place to my views in the columns of your esteemed daily.
Yours truly,
Suniana Singh

Subject: Importance of national integration
Sir,
We represented our state in a National Youth Exchange Program and attended the Dance Festival in Chidambaram, Tamil Nadu.
From Uttar Pradesh, going down south to the beautiful temple town proved to be a great experience for us. Dancers from all over India, from Kashmir to Kanyakumari attended the festival. We were in awe with the huge variety of Indian dance forms that were showcased.
It was a visual treat to see the various dance forms and styles, beautiful costumes, different faces from different parts of the country; but all had one thing in their mind and that was 'dance'. It was then I realized the true meaning of 'unity in diversity'.
Hence, at the time when terrorism is playing the fiddle, national integration is the prime important thing to keep the nation as one. Let us all unite as one nation. Jai Hind.
Yours sincerely,
Xxxxx
