You are playing monopoly with your friends. You just landed on a site where your friend owns three houses. You had 30 coins before you landed but after paying the rent you have -15 coins. What was the rent for each of your friends houses (all three houses have same rent)?

Answer:

15 coins / house

Step-by-step explanation:

Total number of coins the person who landed on a site = 30

After paying the rent, he had coins = -15

Total coins spent = 30 - (-15) = 45

Total number of house = 3

It is given that each house has same rent so,

Rent of one house would be equal to the total houses compared to total coins the person spent

Rent per house  = 45/3 = 15 coins

Each house has 15 coins rent
