Subject- Letter complaining about the poor condition of the drainage system in my colony.
Sir,
With due respect, I, Rachna, a resident of 15, R K Nagar Chennai, would like to show my concern about the poor condition of the drainage system in my colony. The people living in my colony are very much disturbed about the bad condition of drainage. After every 10 days, it starts to overflow because of blockage. It requires to be cleaned so that it does not create any trouble in monsoon season. Hope you will consider my request and reply in positive terms.
Thanking you in anticipation.
Yours truly
Rachna,

Subject: Poor drainage system in our colony
Sir:
I am writing to your good self to express my concern over the issue of poor drainage in our colony, especially during the rainy season, which causes much inconvenience to the residents. The dirty, stinking water from drains keeps stagnated on roads. During the rainy season it gets converted into real hell.
This rainy season we had copious rainfall. The entire city was flooded. You will be shocked to know even after almost a month of the rainfall, the rainwater has not been drained. The simple reason behind this flooding of the colony roads is poor drainage system.
The problem is with the low areas, where the drainage system has been faulty. The PWD department’s inefficiency has been exposed. Many mishaps owing to the water on roads also take place quite frequently.
The stagnated water has been causing serious health issues. Malaria, dengue, chikanguniya, apart from stink and travelling problems have made the life of Shastri Nagar residents literal hell. The concerned authorities’ apathy to the ongoing problems is outrageously shocking. I appeal to your kind self to look into the matter and expedite the repairing of the faulty drainage system. Hoping for prompt response.
Yours truly,
Pradeep Ghosh
