Sub.: Pathetic condition of labourers, vendors and farmers regarding.

Sir,

With due respect, I wish to bring to your kind notice that today through this letter, i take this opportunity to detail you about some of the biggest problems being faced by poor labourers, vendors and farmers of our region. Sir, As you know that due to Covid-19, the life has ben stopped and in real terms, lockdown has locked the life of everyone. But this has affected some of categories of our public in a big way. Some of the daily wage labourers who were working in our region on construction sites and were dependent upon this work for their daily food and other requirements, they have been kicked out from their work place by the contractor and they have not been provided any help from their side. The person who served these contractors and our city for years, in a period of few days, they have gone homeless, foodless. As they were staying at their workplaces with their families, they are not having even a shed to live in. It is really shocking that the poor labourers who made thousands of homes for others, they are homeless. Even our local administratin has done nothing for them. Similar is the situation of local small scale vendors, who were rendering their services in our region. Due to this lockdown, they are not in a position to contiue their business in a normal way. Some of them are single hand earning person and whole family depends upon that single man/women earning. Even the landlords of their small shops have warned them to vacate their shops immediately as these venders are not in position to pay the rent. The biggest loss have been suffered by farmers. Farmer is a person who devote  his/her live in the fields so that she/he can grow foods crops or other crops for his livelihood by selling them in the market. He is the main piller of our country's growth. But now in this hard situation, he is not even getting the principal amount which he had invested in this fields as no body is buying his crop due to pandemic and the persons who are buying, is making him fool by giving him a very little amount of money. Sir, yesterday, i visited our local vegetable market and I bought colliflower for Rs.2/- per Kg and I shocked to hear the price. When I am getting this on such less price then what farmers would have got for this sale. Really a policy in this regards needs to be framed.

Sir, I request you to kindly publish this article in your esteemed newspaper so that attetion of our district magistrate may be diverted towards this side too. I have tried a lot to inform our authorities about this but nothing has worked. That is why, today I thought I should contact you because media is super source to publicize such issues in big way and I hope that you will definately take my request into your consideration.

regards.

sincerely,

Subject :- Pathetic conditions of the poor labours, vendors, and farmers.

Respected Sir/Ma'am,

I would like to draw the attention of the authorities and the people through the esteemed column of your newspaper regarding the pathetic conditions of the poor labours, vendors, and farmers due to the pandemic.

As you know the whole world is facing a lot of consequences due to corona pandemic. Our whole country is under lockdown and we all are limited to the four walls of our homes. At least the local citizens like us have a roof over our head but what about the labour category? They are now homeless. Majority of them have been terminated by their contractors due to no business in these days. Majority of labours were indulged in small companies which use to pay them a negligible salary, yet they use to manage somehow.

What about the local vendors whose only source of income was selling some basic necessities or some fast food over the streets?

What about the farmers? Most of the crops are now damaged due to no business in these days. Lockdown has a major impact on crops in a negative way. Either the crops are getting damaged or are been sold on throwaway prices.

The life of these people has come to a halt. They are neither having money to survive nor a roof over their head to reside somewhere. Due to this helplessness, they are bound to travel to their villages which are far away from their workplaces in order to let them and their family to have a place to reside by. They neither can stay here due to no sources available nor they can travel much. They are walking Kilometers just to reach their respective villages. Due to such actions, the corona cases have increased as well.

What they should do? They are left with no options and hence are bound to take decisions which aren't right.

Taking care of them is the need of the hour. It's a request to kindly have a look over the pathetic conditions of these people and help them in some ways. It's a request to the District Magistrate to take this situation seriously and look for some solution regarding the same.

I hope my request will be taken into consideration and these people will be served rightly by the government.

Thanking you,

Yours sincerely,

Preeti.
