When administering ventilation  to a 5 year old child using a resuscitation mask, the ventilation should be given at the rate of 1 ventilation after every 3 seconds.

The ventilation rate for an adult that is unconscious but breathing should be at the rate of 1 ventilation after every 5 seconds.

Before administering of the ventilation, through the gas mask, you need to first confirm that the child or adult  is breathing.
