Good morning everyone. I am Priya from class 9. Being the secretary of the eco-club of our school, I would like to talk about the campaign against polythene bags.
Plastic is the enemy of man. Everywhere, we see people littering the streets, roads, empty landfills, beaches and other land forms with polythene bags. They are very harmful for the environment since they are non-biodegradable and non-recyclable.
The animals and birds often consume these polythene bags and choke to death. Land pollution is on the rise due to these elements. So today we launch this campaign against polythene bags and pledge to protect our Mother Earth from further danger.
In this campaign we aim to create awareness among people so that they do not use plastic. We will also refrain from using polythene bags and use paper bags instead. So let us unite and make this world polythene bag free.
