You are provided three test tubes A,B,C which contain distilled water,acidic and basic solutions. if you are given blue litmus paper only,how will you identify the nature of the solutions in three test tubes?

I will dip the red litmus formed after indicating Acid in the other two test tuhes the one which turns red to blue litmus is base other is acid

Answer 2

Firstly I will dip the blue litmus paper in all 3 test tubes, the one which turned red will be acidic solution.

Then dip the red litmus paper so obtained in rest 2 solutions, the one which turns red litmus to blue is basic solution.

The last one which has no effect from both the litmus paper is distilled water which is neutral in nature.
