Answer - Activity to prove the hypothesis is written below -

-Pour given water in glass and plate. Mark the levels or amount of water poured. This is the initial reading.

-Now keep the glass and plate at identical conditions with enough tmeperature for water evaporation. -After some time or almost on hour, again take the reading of amount of water left in glass and plate.

-These are final readings. Subtract the initial and final readings to know the amount of water evaporated.

-More water evaporation will occur from the vessel with larger surface area. Hence dependence of evaporation on surface area will be proved.
