First we take a magnet near the mixture....the magnet will attract the iron fillings and thus seperate it from the mixture

Then we have to heat the mixture, which will seperate the ammonium chloride from the other components

Then, what remains is sodium chloride,i.e, common salt and sand. We have to prepare a solution of these two substances and pass them through a filter paper. Sodium chloride being soluble in water will pass through the filter paper, while sand, which is insoluble, will remain back.

Thus, we have separated all the substances from the solution
