Density=Mass/Volume.

Measure the Mass on a balance or scale.

Measure the Volume by taking a beaker with water. Let the initial level be V1. Add the rock in. Measure the rise. Let the rise in the level of the water be V2 V2-V1= volume of the rock.

Divide the mass by the volume and you have the density of the rock.
