              Animal Lover Club's Visit to Abdul Kalam Animal Care Home

Abdul Kalam High School, 20th August 2020 - On the 15th of August 2020, the Animal Lover Club visited Abdul Kalam Animal Care Home, who works for the welfare of animals by preventing cruelty to them. We arrived at 8am in the morning by bus. We were kindly welcomed by the owner of the animal care home, Mrs. Johnson.

                  We were brought to see the animals, who had spacious cages furnished with a food and water bowl, a bed, along with some toys. There is also a play area, littered with animal toys. We also visited the nursing area, where caretakers nursed sick or injured animals back to health.

                  We were given an hour to play with the animals, and we were surprised to see how playful and energetic they are despite many of them being rescues. We know that the caretakers is very patient and caring with them. After that, we gave a donation of $500 to Mrs. Johnson.

                  At 3pm in the afternoon, we headed back to the school by bus, where students are picked up by their parents.
