Respected sir,
I am resident of vasundhara Enclave, Seemapuri.I would request to pay attention towards the pitiable condition of slum near vasundhara Enclave, Seemapuri.
It's one of the biggest slum of Asia. The people living there are over 50 thousands,but the living conditions there are dreadful. Because of no drainage system it takes lead to accumulation of dirty water on streets which causes breeding of mosquitoes and can cause dangerous diseases like dengue and malaria to residents. Also it doesn't have proper electric supply. street lights are also not present which can cause danger for women who are outside after dark. Even waste management are also poor. The slum dwellers dispose garbage on streets which causes excessive stench and unhygienic conditions. Water supply is also erratic.
The government should take steps to adequate supply of water and electricity,and street lights should be also installed.they should also interact slum dwellers and sensitise them.
At last, I humbly request you to publish my letter in your esteemed newspaper for the betterment of people of seemapuri and slum dwellers.
