Subject : Frequent Breakdown of Electricity
Respected Sir / Ma'am,
Through the column of your esteemed newspaper, I want to raise a public issue of frequent breakdown of electricity in our locality. Local people are facing a lot of problems due to this. It has become a daily routine now. Everyday in evening the electricity breaks down and the chores remain pending. Children aren't able to study properly.
Several times we have complained about this to our municipality but till now, no action has been taken. Most the officers ensure us by their words but do nothing in order to help us. We are suffering a lot of problem. Nowadays in rainy season the condition has turned to worse. Many a times reports of snake bites, accidents, etc. are reported due to no proper vision at nights.
Most importantly women and girls don't feel free or safe to go out during evening even for walks. Yes its quite surprising that even after so many years of independence, women cannot even use their whole rights. Even many criminal activities like thefts, robberies, etc. take place in the utter darkness of night. Two days ago, the house of a old man was robbed up by two thiefs who took advantage of darkness to hide themselves.
Through this letter I request you to raise and highlight this issue so that some actions can be taken in our favour.
Hoping for your positive response on this.
Thanking you
Yours faithfully
Rohit
