‘India-A Tourist’s paradise’
~By Rohit Sharma
India is a tourist's paradise on earth, with its magical beauty, a riot of colours and diverse cultures. It is a country that is surrounded by three gigantic water bodies on three sides, the Bay of Bengal in the east, the Indian Ocean in the south and the Arabian Ocean in the west. In the north, the majestic hills stand erect like a crown atop an emperor.
The north-eastern part of India is home to the One-horned Rhino as much as it is graced by Majuli, the biggest river island in the world. The Sunderbans in the east is abode to the Royal Bengal Tiger, just as it is among the biggest mangrove forests in the world. Odisha's temples and sea beaches add colour and beauty that wins many a tourist's hearts. Nalanda and Bodhgaya are the seats of Buddhism. Darjeeling and Shillong are among the oldest hill stations in India.
In the west, the Gir sanctuary in Gujarat houses lions, the king of the forest. Temples at Somnath and Dwarka attract tourists in hordes. The deserts and palaces of Rajasthan add breathtaking colour and variety to a nation that prides itself on being united in diversity.
Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir are shining pearls of northern India. Agra is the go-to place for the mesmerizing beauty of the Taj Mahal. A lot of beautiful architectural buildings, tombs, mosques and monuments dot Delhi and its surroundings.
The south Indian state of Kerala is truly God's own country, what with the beautiful backwaters and its splendorous greenery. Bengaluru, Mysuru, Chennai and Hyderabad are unique reflections of India's past as much as the country's march into the 21st century.
A tourist coming to India from overseas can hope for plenty of surprises and will be spoilt for choice just as much as a domestic tourist will be walking into a dream each time he or she explores new territory.
Hope it helps you dear friend :)
