Given :- you are rotating a triangle clockwise 35 degree how many degrees does this correspond to if rotating the triangle counterclockwise instead ?

Solution :-

given that, a triangle is rotated 35° in clockwise direction.

Now, we if rotate in counterclockwise (anticlockwise) direction how many degrees does this correspond . we have to compare both angles.

we know that, a complete angle is equal to 360° , which forms a circle.

So, we can say that, if we move 35° in clockwise direction , in order to move to that point in counterclockwise direction we have to cover remaining distance of one complete angle.

So, Let us assume that, we rotate the given ∆ counterclockwise in order to reach at same point.

Than,

clockwise rotation is = 35°

→ counterclockwise rotation is = x°

So,

→ clockwise rotation + counterclockwise rotation = one complete angle = 360°

Therefore,

→ clockwise rotation + counterclockwise rotation = 360°

→ 35° + x° = 360°

→ x° = 360° - 35°

→ x° = 325° .

So, comparing both angles now,

→ x° - 35° = 325° - 35° = 290° (Ans.)

Hence, counterclockwise angle is 290° greater than clockwise angle.
