Answer:

       Problem of stress among students

Stress and students go hand in hand. There is no student in this entire world who does not face stress. Life is full of challenges, tests, and examinations; and how we respond to them determines our success and failure. Challenges, tests, and examinations are an integral part of life, a healthy and positive attitude needs to be developed towards them otherwise the exams will always appear to be as a sword of Damocles hanging precariously above our head.

Presence of stress in our minds about examinations is the indicator to our ill-preparedness and poor, time management, and irresponsible attitude not only to studies alone, but to life also. Stress crops up in our minds only because in the past we did not prepare and plan for the coming exams well! Had we shown responsibility to our studies, we would never have felt the stress. Stress means only one thing: ‘We did not study.’

The only way to handle and tame the bull of examination stress is by taking it by the horns. Don’t be afraid of exams. They are scary to everyone. But if you really want to enjoy exams, plan, prepare, and perspire. Always remember, exams appear stressful to those who are careless, negligent, undisciplined, procrastinators, and shirkers. Don’t skive your studies. You will never feel exams stress.

The following tips can be helpful during the exams:

First and foremost thing is don’t panic. Whatever time is left, make best use of it. if you have phone, give it to your mother, or dad. Don’t delay studying. Just start studying. Do study the subjects, topics, and concepts that you like. The more complex topics can be studied later. Revise by writing notes. Just looking at the questions and answers won’t help. Do take frequent short breaks—say 20 minutes after a spell of one hour study.  Study alone; if you think you can study better in the company of your friends, it is a wrong belief. Just be strong and study hard. Remember, there are no short cuts for success!

Explanation:

I am Ruchita, student of Class 9.

Today we see the word stress crop up in most of our conversations. Stress is not only seen among working adults but also in students.

Students face stress on various fronts. The first pressure relates to studies. They have to learn and perform well in the exams. They are forced to learn all the subjects in the curriculum, whether they are interested or not and irrespective of their aptitudes. This leads to high-stress levels among students.

The syllabus itself is large, thus making it difficult for the students. They have to cope with peer pressure and are forced to go the movies or do what the other children do, for fear of being teased about it. Students who score less are also burdened with the fact that they have to secure admissions in good colleges.

These are all the factors that build up stress in students.
