Hello everybody.

I am Sobha of Karolbagh, New Delhi.

Last Sunday I was travelling to Lady Sriram College to appear for the joint entrance examination for engineering.

My papers were to be started at 0 am, and I had to report to the venue 30 minutes in advance.

I started from my house early but got stranded in a traffic jam for unknown reasons and reached the centre 15 minutes late.

There were many like me.

After much pleading, we were allowed to sit for the test but missed valuable 30 minutes.

Explanation:

chaotic state of traffic

by (shobha/ shobhit)

Perhaps there is no metro city in the country which doesn't suffer from the disorderly condition of traffic on its roads. The rapid increase in the number of vehicles has contributed to this problem. Then the shop owners encroach on footpaths. The most horrible aspect of this disorders in the breaking of Traffic rules and the absence of police or any other regulating agency that could punish the abusers of traffic rules.

This results in traffic jams ,slowly movement and

other related problems. Many patients have died on the way due to this as they couldn't reach the hospitals in emergencies.

This all can be controlled if the traffic police challans erring drivers. Change of lane and flouting of traffic rules are the to main culprits. If traffic rules are enforced, 8o% of the traffic problems can be solved. Close circuit TV cameras should be installed at some places where it is practical. It is strange that we are more than a crore of people but we can't solve the traffic problems which simply need will power and implementation of existing rules.
