Dear Diary,
My day yesterday was fantastic! I'm filled with joy and gratitude. We held our interschool art festival today. Like every year, our classmates and I gathered in our Assembly Hall with our teachers and Principal Mam to hear the announcement of the winner of the prize for the best mural illuminating Indian history.
I was seated next to my classmates in a row. I genuinely thought I could win the prize! After the speeches were finished, it was time to announce the Award winner. My friends shouted my name when Principal Mam asked us to predict the winner! And guess what? I won the prize for the best mural illustrating India's history! I was overjoyed. My teachers praised me for my accomplishments, and all of my friends applauded and encouraged me.
My class teacher later asked me to speak for a short while. Although it wasn't a difficult task, I was always afraid to speak up in large assemblies because I was a very shy girl in school. I grabbed the microphone and spoke my heart out. I expressed my appreciation for the honor I received! Everyone was ecstatic and later congratulated me! When I got home, I showed my parents the award. They were very appreciative of me and were extremely happy!
And finally, I'll be sure to express my sincere gratitude to the universe! Without my friends, teachers, and Mam, I would not have been able to win this award, so I am very appreciative of them all.
