Explanation:
I am in motion with respect to the observer outside the bus standing on the footpath..... I am at rest with respect to the observer or passenger inside the bus who is travelling along with me... so rest and motion are relative terms

When we are sitting in a moving bus , the bus is in motion as its position is changing continuously from time to time with respect to stationary objects around it taken as a reference point. But our position is not changing , so we are not in motion but at rest.
