One day I was sitting with my friends on a log near a stream. One of my friends looked up at the sky and said “Why the sky is so dark even its sunny day?” .We all saw in the sky & he was right. There was a huge dark fog in the sky & with each passing minutes it getting darker. Suddenly we realising that we all are feeling difficulty in breathing. We quickly understood that it wasn’t any cloudy dark. It was just because of some leakage in a chemical factory across the river. As it was Sunday & less workers so no one noticed yet. We all run towards City Information center & tell them whole thing. They contact to fire & rescue team with disaster management force. Without wastage of time, team was at spot & they save 8 lives that were trapped there & suffocated. Later we all come to know that it was due to burst in an old & rusty pipe line with high pressure.  Environment Department charged & warned the management of company for their sheer negligence which may convert into major life causing incident.

I was sitting with my friends on a log near a stream, all of a sudden my friend Anuj looked at sky and said, "Zaid, look, the rainbows in the sky, how wonderful!"
It was an amazing sight, four parallel rainbows peeping through needle-like pine leaves presented the most beautiful sight I had ever seen. I was captivated by the scene reminiscing what my granny had told years ago when I pointed out towards two rainbows together in the sky,  just as Anuj did today.
My grandfather was a Colonel in Indian Army and he was posted to Baramula with his battalion. He had eleven soldiers of different ranks  with him. There was information that a few terrorists were hidden in some local families of the town. They had also killed a few locals in that area and people were terrified.
Two soldiers, with the help of locals, tried to take information about the terrorists, but they couldn't discover anything substantial. The tension in the region was on increase and the battalion was unable to control the situation initially for a week.
It so happened that one evening my grandfather was sitting in his study when he got the news that two terrorists were seen near Furqaan mosque. He quickly followed up the news and as soon as they reached that area, the terrorists started firing at them. Four of the soldiers were badly wounded and my grandfather kept the fight on. He was not only worried about his wounded soldiers but the continuous heavy downpour and the setting sun also. If he had lost them then the situation would have got worse. The terrorists took advantage of the growing dark, one of them came from behind and shot my grandfather with two more soldiers with him.
My grandfather was awarded posthumously. The granny told that the day his coffin came to our residence in Amritsar, she had seen four rainbows in the sky, as if glorifying my grandfather. I felt all of a sudden that my grandfather was looking at me from behind the rainbows and I waved at him. Obviously, none of my friends could interpret my action at that time.
