EVENT OF ORGANISING PICNIC TO NEARBY FALLS
Recently, I was given the opportunity of organizing a picnic for the students of class 11, in my school. It was a great responsibility and I was determined to do it well. I planned to organize the picnic, taking the students to the nearby falls.

My school, Russel High is located in Jalpaiguri, and it would be great for the students to visit the Changey falls, to experience both adventure and relish nature amidst all work.

Changey fall is located 14 km from the lava, which offers a breathtaking view of Mount Kanchejunga, near the Neora Valley National Park, which is a perfect example of natural beauty. Changey fall is a famous 3 step waterfall between Tiffin Dhara and Ghanti  Dhara. Changey falls falling from a height of 300 mts, is considered as the highest altitude in North Bengal whilst offering more charm to nearby quaint villages.

Organizing the picnic was a very difficult job. I got in touch with a tourism office, which’d help us take around 100 students to the falls. It was a one day tour, which would offer lunch and a hill climbing experience along with the panoramic view of the falls. Money was collected from all the students. The cost was 500 rs, per head, which took around 2 days. The money was handed over to the tourism director by our principal and we set off on a Saturday morn. I had to take the attendance, reminding the students to say together and in line and so started our picnic on the falls.
