Hi Mom,

How are you all at home? Missing you a real lot.

You must have seen the news on TV that there have been flash floods here. The water has even entered our hostel and we are knee-deep in water. It is very difficult for us to move about.

I know Diwali is just a few days away and I have always attended the function of Diwali at home. But this year maybe I will not be able to reach home because of the situation I am in. I will really miss eating the sweets which you make. Please keep a box for me I will surely come home and eat them as soon as I can.

Try to explain to all at home why it will be impossible for me to reach home at the time of Diwali.
