Sir,
Through the columns of your esteemed newspaper I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all the individuals and international organisations who have helped the flood victims in the state of Kerala.
Kerala experienced one of the most devastating floods of the centuries which affected the entire livelihood of the state to a great extent. Huge amount of loss was suffered by the people residing in Kerala due to the flood. Also the flood brought several casualties. But, despite these atrocities the state of Kerala overcame the situation with the help of several people and international organisations. They played a great role in reestablishing the flood affected regions. Their help was the greatest gift of god. I would like to thank all those great personalities and the organisations who lent their hand to help our state. Due to this the state has somehow re-established itself and fulfilled the loss suffered.
The time of atrocities has changed but the flood has left us in the field of great epidemics and the people residing in Kerala have become susceptible to various flood-prone diseases. In order to regain the normal life some amount of help it still required. The outburst of epidemics will cause great problems for the residents of the state.
Also, the flood has affected the economy and monetary status of kerala which has created scarcity of food and resources for the people.
So, I request for sincere help from the Indian government and other organisations so that we, the people of Kerala, can resume our normal livelihood. I hope that the concerned authorities will pay their sincere heed to my prayer and take the desired action.
