My dear friend,

I have received your letter. you are needlessly worrying about me. Yes, I felt some-sick for a few days in the beginning when everything was new- new places, new faces and a new system of living according to a time-table. Now I have overcome all the problems and of adjustments and I am feeling quite at home. Now I feel that education is incomplete without having the experience of a hostel life. At home we depend on our parent: at hostel we learn to be dependent on our own resources.

Dear friend, life is quite delightful here. We are here from five different states having dissimilar mother tongues but we speak English or Hindi. There are no groupings here. We are all one living in a single home, the hostel. We have learned to learn and help our young hostelers and respect obey the seniors. We share joys and join to shoulder our responsibilities and solve our problems. We also try to learn other states' languages and cultural set up.

We have a wonderful warden- an energetic teacher, warm, learned, good at games, kind yet firm, always ready to encourage us. He always keeps on insisting that we must follow the time-table accordingly- a fix of waking early, studying, playing, watching TV, sitting together for meals, and more. However, I am learning to relish preparations af all types, of all states. So please don't worry. I am happy.

Wish you and your family a prosperous healthy life.

With love,

Supreet
