Dear Diary,
Today has been one of the most thrilling and unforgettable days of my life. It all started with the late-night study session in the office room with my friends, Mani and Rajam. We were preparing for the upcoming school exams and lost track of time. Before we knew it, it was well past midnight, and we were the only ones left in the school.
We decided to stay the night in the office room, as it was too late to go back home. I was initially nervous about spending the night in the school, but my friends kept me company and made me feel safe. We tried to sleep, but the creaking of the old furniture and the strange sounds from the corridor kept us wide awake.
As we were lying awake, we heard footsteps coming from the corridor. We immediately woke up and tiptoed towards the door to see who it was. We saw a shadowy figure trying to break into the school safe. We quickly realized that it was the notorious burglar who had been breaking into schools and homes in the neighborhood.
Without wasting any time, we quietly hatched a plan to catch the burglar. Mani and I went to the entrance of the school, while Rajam alerted the watchman. We quietly closed the main entrance gate and stood near the exit, waiting for the burglar to make his escape.
Soon enough, the burglar made his way towards the entrance gate, only to find it closed. He was taken aback, and before he could react, Mani and I grabbed him by his arms. The burglar was taken by surprise, and we managed to overpower him quickly.
We handed over the burglar to the police, who arrived soon after. They were amazed that three schoolboys could apprehend the notorious burglar who had been giving them a tough time. It was a proud moment for us, and we felt like heroes.
It's been a long night, and I can hardly keep my eyes open, but I wanted to document this unforgettable experience in my diary. I am grateful for my friends who stood by me, and I am glad that we were able to make a difference.
With a sense of accomplishment and gratitude, I sign off for the night.
Good night, Diary.
Yours truly,
Swami
