Me: How are you liking the online classes, Bhavna?
Friend: I can’t say I enjoy them as much as I enjoyed school, but there is no other way out.
Me: It is the same with me too- I find concentrating in online classes very hard. There are too many distractions.
Friend: Do you also have people in class who forget to turn their audio off?
Me: Yes. It causes so much disturbance; you can hear dogs barking, the TV playing, someone’s mother asking them to bathe.
Friend: It is hilarious though!
Me: It is funny only at that time, but later, when you need to do your homework, you realise that you haven’t understood the concept well enough and then you are stuck.
Friend: And by the time you can actually ask the teacher, it is too late.
Me: In any case, you miss the submission deadline and feel miserable.
Friend: Can we not ask the teacher to repeat the concept?
Me: Yes, but it’s hard for her too, to find that extra time and during that class too someone will have an unmuted mic. The problem remains the same.
Friend: How then do we clarify the concepts?
Me: We need extra help, but I don’t know where and how to get it.
Friend: I have an idea; maybe we can post our question on Brainly. The teachers there usually respond with clear explanations. That might help.
Me: That’s a brilliant idea! Why did I not think of it?
