Answer: Meeting to discuss the Inter-University Debate Competition

A meeting was organized on the 4th of October, 2019, to discuss the details of the forthcoming Inter-University Debate Competition, on the 15th of October, 2019. The meeting was presided over by the Vice-Chancellor, Dr. R.J Prajapati. The Head of the English Department and the Literary Secretary of the University, the Cultural Head, and winner of last year's competition were also present at the meeting.
Dr. Prajapati commenced the meeting by recollecting memories of his days in the same University. He enlightened us about the struggles and adventures of his time. Followed by his speech, I, Ram singh, Academic secretary, brought forward that the subject matter for this year's Inter-University Debate Competition was 'Do video games cause bad behavior in children?' This was in light of the recent reports of several deaths and violence all over the country, related to video games and teenagers.
The Cultural head of the University, Dr. Rajendra Pillai also told us that the venue of the event was Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, and that the colleges are required to send in the name of the participants by the 10th of October, 2019. The English department head, Dr. Nilima Khan and the winner of last year's competition, Mr. Rajnish Khound, suggested the names of three students who would be eligible to represent the University at the Debate competition.
After much deliberation, it was jointly decided that Miss. Fatima Basha, 2nd year, English, UG and Mr. Ramesh Sarma, 3rd year, Mathematics, UG, will represent the Delhi University in the forthcoming Inter-University Debate Competition to be held at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi on the 15th of October, 2019.
