You are the secretary of the welfare organisation at your school. Under your leadership, the organisation was able to collect a substantial amount for the flood victims of Kerala. Express your wish to spread this message of kindness and concern for others in order to sensitise more and more people to help each other, in a letter to the Editor of the Times of India, from Tiny Stars School, Model Town Daryaganj, Delhi.(100 words)

Diary Entry

Thursday, 09 January 10 p.m:

Dear Diary,

Today is one of the happiest days of my life. It is a day of achievement and pride. Remember how tense I was when I was selected as the Secretary of the Welfare Society in our School?

It was a huge responsibility. But thanks to Father who helped me plan efficiently I was able to shoulder my responsibilities well.

Along with my school mates we dedicated all our Sundays to the old age home 'Apna Ghar'. We cleaned, cooked, read and chatted with the members there.

I was also able to raise a good amount of money for the old age home. When the cheque was handed to their Secretary you should have seen their face light up.

Now our work is over. But I feel so satisfied. I can't help sharing a vicarious glory with the screen hero 'Munnabhai' who had helped an old age home.

I can now proudly call myself as a disciple of Swami Vivekananda who emphasized: Service to mankind is service to God. I recall Mother Teresa's motto: Service beyond self.

Will keep you updated with more news.

Yours always,

HOPE THIS HELPS YOU
