Obviously ignoring the impossible, there are problems with this thinking.
I enjoy running, but at 5 foot 4 I’m never going to be an Olympian. I physically can't run faster than Usain Bolt. I could have practiced for years, but putting my to it won’t have changed anything.
I come across a lot of people who want to work in the music business. You often hear famous and succesful singers and musicians stating things like “I worked really hard and it paid off”. Well, it obviously did. However, lots of people work really hard and don't make it. That is because it’s a complicated and capricious industry. Working hard and putting your mind to it isn’t enough. Amongst the many things you need is latent taken, and not everyone has that.
Having self belief and a purpose is great. Doing what you enjoy is brilliant. The idea of achieving anything you put our mind to is simply not true.
