This happened with me just a year ago. My husband and I travelled to Dalhousie-Himachal Pradesh last year-2019 in August. during our long weekend holiday. It was a 2–3 days trip. Our train boarded from Old Delhi to Pathankot. Next afternoon we reached Pathankot and took the bus to Dalhousie directly. It was again for 3 hrs. journey.
After reaching Dalhousie, we started looking for hotels to stay nearby the Mall road. A person came near and we discussed everything about the hotel, facilities, charges, mountain view etc. and started walking along with him. And to my expectation, it was a beautiful hotel amidst the mountains with a balcony from where we could see the entire mountains, clouds and lush greenery. What an eye-soothing view that was! I am not disclosing the name of hotel.
It was already 7 PM by then and we were hell tired. So, decided to take a nap. We woke with the beautiful view of nature the next morning, got ready with the camera and headed towards Khajjiar. We roamed the entire day and returned back to room by 7 PM. After watching T.V for 30 min.. we ordered our dinner and gobbled sitting in the balcony area.
My husband had stomach ache due to chilli and spices so he slept early. I switched on the night bulbs and had been tossing and turning but could not sleep properly. Meanwhile, on the left side, I felt and saw a shadow or maybe someone was exactly standing there, I am not sure. He had wrapped himself in a shawl and was staring at me. I can not forget the sight till date.
I trembled with fear turned right, held my husband tight, covered my face carefully, closed my eyes and my eyes opened up directly the next morning.
Assuming, it was a dream I tried to forget the nightmare. My husband woke up, freshen up and I asked him, was he able to sleep properly at night. He replied- yes, I was after taking the medicine, but I saw a very scary dream. A person was standing in the left side at the entry of room and was staring at us. To my shock, my eyes widen and came forward. Then, I realised I was right, I because I too felt and experienced the same thing. We discussed more on this mutually remembered God and prayed for a while. We decided to leave the room in case we experience something spooky the same night as well. But, thanks to god, nothing such happened that night and we had sound sleep that night.
Next morning we left for Delhi.
