It is because sea water not only contains harmful salts but also microorganisms which is harmful to intake. Drinking sea water can make you dehydrated and loss of water in body.
Drinking seawater can be deadly to humans. Human kidneys can only make urine that is less salty than salt water. Therefore, to get rid of all the excess salt taken in by drinking seawater, you have to urinate more water than you drank. Eventually, you die of dehydration even as you become thirstier.
The sea water have average 0.04 o it desolved salt. so it is like eating 80 gram of salt if you drink 1 liter of sea water. so consider that you eat 80 gram of salt ... If you drink it regularly too much salt will harm your body.
