A plastic comb can be charged through conduction and being an insulator, it retains the charge.
An iron comb gets charged electrostatically when rubbed but the charges flow through our body and into the ground and the comb loses its charge. This happens because iron is a conductor.

Because comb can charge through friction and electrostatic force as it is plastic but iron is metal n can't charge through this method
